Day1:

You will arrive at the classroom at Pikes Peak Motorsports on N Nevada Ave to begin your journey to being a motorcyclist! After class introductions, we’ll jump right into the introduction to motorcycling. Our curriculum uses the tried and true system developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. You will work through 126 review questions in the MSF Rider handbook through interactive video instruction and classroom exercises. We’ll discus the different types of motorcycles, Risk awareness, risk acceptance and, most importantly, risk management.

We’ll move right to preparing to ride where we’ll talk about personal protective equipment and how to make sure your motorcycle is in good mechanical condition to ride. Then we’ll start talking about controls and basic riding strategies. We will also provide you a dealership tour and talk about street riding.
At the conclusion of day one, the class will take a 50 question quiz. These questions will come directly from the 126 review questions you have already completed!

Day 2:

Get ready to ride! We will meet at the west parking lot behind the grandstand at Pikes Peak International Raceway. As you arrive you will see a line of gleaming motorcycles one of which you will soon be riding! First though, we will take you through all the basics. Where the controls are, how they work, how we activate them. From how to correctly mount your motorcycle through starting, stopping, turning and shifting. Your Rider Coaches will be there every step of the way, demonstrating every exercise, offering encouragement and suggestions to help you along. Every step is a carefully crafted building block to give you confidence and prepare you for the next exercise. The end of Day 2 will find you mastering basic motorcycle maneuvers.

Day 3:

Once again we find ourselves at the Pikes Peak International Raceway iRide range. Today we are going to continue to build on yesterday’s success. We start to ride a little faster and learn to use the techniques we use to ride on the street along with starting to learn evasive maneuvers that will protect us. Just like yesterday, every step is carefully crafted to inspire confidence and success. Your coaches will offer suggestions to make you more proficient and confident in your riding. At the conclusion of Day 3, after all 17 riding exercises are completed; you will take your riding evaluation.
